Does anyone know when exactly Meccano are releasing the Spyke? I've seen different 'available from' dates, and I'm not sure which to believe.
Will I be able to get one for Christmas!!!?
Really good question - I've seen some places suggesting December delivery dates, but most are now suggesting January.
I figure that either most stocks are already sold, or there has been some kind of delay in getting it out. I reakon Meccano will want this out in time for Christmas though - it really could be the "must have" present this year!

My first post - just joined the forum. My guess is that Spyke will be pretty big!
On the subject of where you can get one, yes I only wish I knew how to lay my hands on one myself! Showing my age a bit here, I remember when the Sinclair ZX81 first came out (long before the Internet!) people were literally chasing around in cars following the delivery van around and buying them up.
Anyway, my message is that if anyone knows where we can get one ASAP - PLEASE POST!

I'm thinking that it won't be possible to get one soon if you're ordering now. Despite what it says on the 'marketplace' page here, none of the retailers that were previously offering December delivery dates are still offering that. From what I've found, the best you can hope for now is a Feb delivery date.
I ordered mine when they were offering a Dec 3rd delivery date, so maybe just a week to wait now... That's assuming that they've just sold out of their original allocation, and the early orders are still being honoured for before Christmas... Maybe everybody's has been delayed until the new year?

I take it you haven't had yours delivered yet wavey? I noticed the official spyke website states that the release date is postponed 'till 2008... Actual date TBC.
