After much searching, I found a place to get a replacement battery for my Spykee. The original battery got to where I could only use him for about 5 minutes before it completely shut off. I had a hard time locating a replacement. The local battery shop wanted $60.00 to rebuild the pack which seemed exceedingly high. Anyways, I ran across www.spykeebattery.com last week. They shipped out a new battery pack that fit perfectly. I got the middle option on their website and used it for over 3 hours monitoring my puppies at work before I had to leave my desk (which I docked it then). I'm loving it and wanted to share in case anyone else was having problems finding new batteries.
folks,
If you require a UK supplier, I've found "eBay My World: electroquest123" really good. Have had a few new packs from these guys and they work a treat. I've got 3 Spykees, just in case you think they don't last long.
Can you plaese put a link to the shop as i cant loacte it on ebay.
Thanks.
Hi Yaas, He doesn't have a Spykee pack advertised at present but the contact details are as follows:
Give them a call as they assemble the packs themselves so can soon make one up if they don't have one already in stock.
Regards, Nat.
I found a nationwide franchise in my area (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) called Batteries Plus that made me a new battery pack for only $17.99. They had it ready in a few hours and it works great. I recommend you look to see if there are any of these stores in your area before you shell out $45 to $55 at www.spykeeworld.com.
