Since the reinstatement of my Spykee robot, I have been running tests on charging issues with the replacement charging dock that was sent to me to replace the original dock due to a potential fire hazard. Over time, the new dock failed to charge the robot totally and began to send "recharge" messages to the UI (user interface) even though the robot was charged more than it showed. I went back to the old charger and it works great. It charges 100% of the battery and allows run times of over 4 hrs plus. I felt the bottom of the robot to make sure there was no significant heat and there wasn't. Whatever they added to the new dock needs to be removed so it works like the old one. I am considering putting a timer on the dock so that it isn't charging 24/7. Maybe I'll cycle 4-6 hr. periods so it is on 6 then off 6 twice a day. I know others have posted issues with the new dock so I know I am not alone. Good luck.
