okay, so after a year and 3\4ths spykee is in the mail, i build it, and install the spykee interface, let spykee charge for a day, and i click the red spykee, then turn spykee on, his lights go in a curculer motion, going faster and faster, then 2 beeps, my spykees code under the MAC code does not show up on local so i type in the code that begins with spykee12345678 (its not realy that though) then click connect, type its name (gir) than itd password witch i think will start as admin right? then click connect. it sais the robot is not avable, when i do the last few steps with tottley random letters, it sais the robot does not exxsist. so i know that its not wrong (i think) but the wifi connection goes to the robot, gets the information it needs and goes back to the router, but is blocked by the WEP key, is this true? and if so, how do i deactavate the WEP without deleating all of the data out of the router, becase if i do, it takes 100$ to get the people to re-install it. if this is not the problem, tell me what is, and how to fix it. please use good detales, as i am not familer with internet connetions whatsoever, i have a windows XP, and if possable make a video on how to get rid of it.
iv been waiting to long for this moment, HELP ME!!!!!!!!
I have set up mine today, following step by step the instruction manual, dowloaded from the spykeeworld website. It works very well : first connect to your spykee using XP's 'View Wireless Networks" (or your wireless data specific sowtaware that sometimes override XP wireless network featrures) and use a direct adhoc wifi link between your PC and spykee. Only after that, open the Spykee software and by cliking on the red spykee, you will find your sykee in the local robot list. Then, step by step, follow the instructions... Wifi connection the your router is simple and easy if your network SSID name is made of A-Z characters. The WEP (64 bits) key based on 10 numerical (0-9) characters works very well. Once connected to your router, if you are registered to Spykeeworld, the distant connection to Spykee is also simple (permanent local IP address based on MACand NAT conversion/Port forwarding doesn't seem compulsory. If this looks like chinese for you, I suggest that you ask someone aged 15-20 for help, you'll be surprised by their understanding of these issues...
My personal advice to all of you: take your time and fully read the instruction manual once you ordered your spykee, so that when you receive it you clearly understand how to activate it.
