Hi,
We can set up Spykee to send photo by email. We need to provide a smtp server. I've tried to use smtp.gmail.com with no luck. I guess I need to provide my login and password but it doesn't seem to be possible.
Did anyone manage to send photos with SMTP and if yes, how?
Cheers, Olivier
You may have more success using your ISP's mail server.
I was able to get this feature by creating my own local SMTP server. I used 1st SMTP server a shareware server. I set it up on my Windows machine and configured it to forward the emails to my reagular (earthlink) email account. It seems the problem with Spykee is that it has nor way to do authentication. With the local SMTP server you can put in your authentication in it so the emails are forwarded. I did have to allow my account to allow these by the spam filter at eartlink. Don't know about Gmail but I would think it should work for them also. if anyone knows of a better SMTP server that would be great. The 1st SMTP server is fee for 30 days. But I was able to see the feature actually work. Spykee should have authentication built in.
