Modified Bodywork, and Docking Tip

Well, I got a little tired of the flexible cable tray that never stays put, and the weak screws and rawlplugs, so I 'downsized' my Spykee to the minimum necessary to hold the camera steady, without risking the warranty.

Also - I've started to initiate docking from a lot further out, with more success. Surprisingly, Spykee seems to be able to pick up the dock from almost 2m away. When starting from further away, it seems to refine the angle a lot earlier from a greater distance, so that as it approaches the dock, it's a lot more square-on, and less likely to miss it completely (which is when all the whirring and grinding starts).

Finally - a bit of fun today: I put the audio on a feedback loop on my laptop, and chased after a dog. Every time the dog barked at Spykee, it came back through the mike, the downlink on the VOIP connection, then out again through the uplink, and out of the Spykee - so it barked back! It worked quite nicely, and confused the hell out of the dog. :-)

Hmm... I've given up trying to insert the image or even URL on this page, but it's at:
