Registration Down! on www.spykeeworld.com/
Hello spykee communiy,

Thanks for providing this great platform!

I just got Spkykee delivered to my wifes place. Now I try to register it online on www.spykeeworld.com but the registration seems to be down. Can anyone confirm this? Or is it just me?

Regards,
Jan

Not even a simple no or yes?

Sorry to bother, but the customer service seems to auto-refuse my email.. Is there a way to get remote access if the route does not support vpn?

Yeah, I noticed this also. If I were a suspicious person, I might wonder if their server had been hacked, or it had been taken down as a precaution against this happening.

Regardless of why it's down, I no longer go through the spykeeworld server to access my Spykee through the Internet. Instead, I use my network's external IP address followed by my port number to access Spykee.

Here's where I first got the idea for doing this:

A caveat--if you have never messed with your router's port forwarding setting before, this can be a daunting process. (Shouldn't be, but the combination of every router manufacturer using different ways to set up port forwarding and every Internet service provider blocking certain ports makes it so). But essentially setting up Spykee is no different than setting up any other IP camera. Here's just one place to look for instructions of how to do this:

Re: Registration Down! on www.spykeeworld.com/
Yes indded very strange that thing with their database. Just got an email from them, saying they cant even access their file at the moment. I only got my robot now, but seems like there was a similar issue with the hompage last year!?

Nevetheless, thanks a lot for the link!

I understand little of these things, but it looks simple till the part with port forwarding and fixing ip addresses... Will have to play around bit..
I would try it immedialey, but the pain is that the robot is a few thousand kilometers away from me. So as soon as I found somebody to work on it, I will post it here.
