im not sure how long the battery lasts, but i think that it charges quite quick.
i never use all of my battery because i only use it for about 20mins at a time, then if its near the recharge base you press a button on the pc and it automaticly goes there
The main technical difference between Spykee and Rovio is the Navigation System of Rovio. Rovio can go autonomously from one room to another . In an article of this site says that the system only works in the same room that it's placed the charging station but in the commercial sheets about Rovio says that Beacon systems will be available (solded separately) . You can install one of theses beacons on each room.
Obviusly, if you see the two robots, Spykee is for children (for ages of 5 to 50) ;-) and Rovio is more for domestic/communication purposes.
Spykee works right out of the box vs. Rovio
If you look at Amazon's customer reviews, you'll see what I mean. Pretty scary for such an expensive toy.
I bought Rovio first b/c extra features look better on paper. I had to downgrade my network security to accomodate it but my unit decided to not work any way. I returned it and got Spykee which works right out of the box, I'm very happy with mine. Simplicity is a virtue!
