Meccano seem to have realised that we just can't wait for our little green friend to hit the shops, so to satisfy our appetite, they've released Spykee Micro, the "mini-me" version of our favourite spy robot. Spykee Micro stands just 6 inches (15cm) tall, and is assembled from 20 pieces.

 This remote controlled little brother does little more than move about, with light and sound effects from the infra-red remote, although by inheriting the family tank-tracks, Spykee Micro is able to cope on pretty much most surfaces.

While we wait for Spykee, Spykee Cell, Spykee Vox and Spykee Miss, it's nice to see at least one of the family in the shops now... You should be able to find him for about £20 (about 35 US dollars, or about 30 Euros)
